Happy Birthday, Grandma!

I have to tell you cause it bugs me:  exporting to quicktime messed up the view.  I didn't cut off the kids faces when I filmed the first skit.

I love this girl

Ivy (after church):  Guess what!!
Dad:  What?
Ivy:  Rich Blessings are in stores!

Katie's 6!

The beautiful girl on her her big day before the party.  (Actually, it wasn't her birthday.  It was the next day when she had her party, but close enough.)
Her Belle hair-do to go with her Belle dress.
The butterfly cake she asked for, helped design and decorate.
 Isn't she gorgeous?

"Katie's Butterfly Garden" awaiting guests

In THE dress.  Really, the pictures don't do it justice.
Katie & Ivy:  princesses

Nice Bridge

Nathan at his wrestling tournament on Thursday.  He didn't win any matches, but he did put up a good fight.  We were all impressed with this bridge and his perseverance.  Also, his 3 opponents were 2-3 grades older and had 5+ lbs on him.

Lame, lame, lame!!

For some reason that is a mystery to me, Tyce and I decided to watch the lower-resolution grandpa video from the blog.  (We have a higher-resolution one saved to the computer, obviously.)  To my horror, the sound effects near the end were kaput, not there, completely nonexistent.  Talk about anti-climactic!  It may not change much for you, but I think it changes the whole experience.  Watch it again if you want your faith in my skills restored.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Duff

Here's a little video we put together for Grandpa's birthday.  The script was Tyce's brainchild.  I did the editing.  My favorite moments:  Asher as Grandpa 3, and Ivy's potty dance.

Asher's steps

So, I don't have an actual picture or video because Asher has never actually taken steps when the camera is ready.  However, Asher started taking one or two steps on his own on Sunday.  Today during playgroup, he took four or five steps in pursuit of a cabbage patch doll.  With the right motivation, right?  He took a few other steps besides.  He's growing up fast!

Plus, this picture is two months old.  I can't find the camera (and newer pics) right now because Ivy said, "I put it somewhere."  Great.
